Events are back!
The security industry reunited at The Security Event at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, at the start of September.
After an 18-month hiatus, the security industry reunited at The Security Event in Birmingham, UK, at the start of September. While the sector had filled the gap with increasingly professional virtual events, the return of physical trade shows and conferences is once again helping to drive the security industry forward.
Special measures
With COVID-19 status checking to create a controlled, safe environment, a host of international exhibitors displayed their latest innovations. Databac was happy to be among them. Our stand focused on ID in the cloud, showcasing the perfect combination of digital and physical identification solutions.
A special landing page has been created from which to download all the literature of the solutions on the show, including:
- Databac Connect mobile ID platform
- Smart visitor journeys
- Matica MC310 card printer & CardExchange software
The value of human interaction
The Databac team was happy to meet with colleagues and clients face-to-face. Phil Tennent, head of Strategic Alliances, said: “It was great to reconnect with old friends, partners and clients. Our stand proposed a hybrid scenario of digital and physical identification, but the same goes for events. As businesses we need to embrace new technologies, but we also thrive on human interaction. The Security Event helped companies to reconnect, get direct feedback and take the pulse of the industry. After all, to build relationships, nothing beats meeting in person.”
