It’s been a tough year in security, with the industry dealing with multiple challenges, from global conflicts and supply chain disruptions, to raw material shortages and inflationary pressures. Business is back on track, rising above pre-pandemic levels, with a 20% increase in turnover across the group, demonstrating the continued trust of our customers.

2023 saw us invest heavily in training and certification. Technology professionals from the educational sector learnt all about smart visitor management at HESCA 2021 on 9 November. The virtual event by the Higher Education Smart Campus Association featured a number of talks on issues affecting modern campuses. Databac was among the key speakers, presenting the Forge Bluepoint solution for safe and secure visitor control.

The seminar, entitled ‘Providing a confident return to the modern campus: a new generation of visitor management’, was presented by Databac head of Strategic Alliances Phil Tennent. The Spanish security industry association celebrated its 25th anniversary at the prestigious Hotel Miramar in Barcelona on 19 October 2021.

Databac produced and personalised high-quality ID badges for over 240 guests at ADSi’s annual gathering. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Spanish security industry association marked the occasion in style, with a gala dinner at Barcelona’s Hotel Miramar on 19 October 2021.

Sustainable badges

A proud member for over 10 years, Databac took on the badging for the event. Manufactured at its factory and finished at its Barcelona card bureau, Databac opted to work with sustainable materials. Made of degradable plastics, the cards were pre-printed with the ADSi logo and branding, then personalised with delegates’ details using Dataimage software and the MC310 card printer from Matica.

Delegates wore the badges with lanyards made of recycled polyester sourced from used plastic bottles.

Mediterranean views

Members, sponsors and ADSi award winners gathered in ADSi’s first physical event since the pandemic, following strict security measures. The association was founded in Barcelona in 1996 and the venue showcased its home town, with spectacular views of the city and the Mediterranean sea.
