Databac eco-friendly ID cards – biodegradable, degradable, wood, PLA and other materials

Databac can manufacture plastic cards that contains special additives which enable the cars to biodegrade in soil in five years. We also offer cards that are made using eco-friendly materials such as corn, PLA, wood.

TOUGH card™

Designed for use with direct card printers, our trademarked TOUGH card™. The inner core is made up of a variety of materials, including a polyolefin that is derived from silica (sand). The entire card is non-toxic and contains no ozone-depleting ingredients.

Data ReWrite™ cards

Our own rewritable card reduces unnecessary issuance of plastic cards. Instead, each card can be printed, erased and reprinted up to 500 times. Ideal for visitor ID and loyalty, it drastically reduces wastage and can be include recyclable materials.

Bamboo lanyard

This earth-friendly lanyard made from 100% bamboo is non-polluting, sustainable, machine-washable and naturally anti-microbial. It comes with a non-twist plastic hook and black breakaway feature. Width: 10mm. Length: 914mm.

Eco-weave recycled PET lanyard

This lanyard comes with a hook and breakaway feature made from recycled resins. Plant-based dyes are used for coloured lanyards, while water-based inks are applied for optional personalisation. Available widths: 10mm and 16mm.

DOP-free strap

Eco-friendly, DOP-free, two-hole, smooth-face clip with clear strap. Size: 70mm. Ideally combined with DOP-free vinyl holder, above.

Biodegradable card holder

Landscape card holder for CR80 cards. Made from natural and renewable material according to EN13432, it offers a similar lifespan to standard holders. 90% will decompose in soil in six months. No toxic substances released when incinerated. Available clear and white.

Ecological card holder

Light-weight open-fronted landscape card holder with minimal material consumption thanks to rectangular holes. Made of polypropylene, it has a thumb slot for easy insertion of card. Accepts standard credit card 85.6 x 54mm. Includes riveted pin/clip attachment.

Eco-friendly wristband with ring

This high-security wristband with aluminium ring is made out of recycled PET. Full colour, dye-sublimation, photo quality printing available.

EvoHold cardholders

Single Sided Compostable, Plastic-Free ID Card Holder, designed to hold one standard credit card size ID Card. CR80.

Antimicrobial cardholder: Biomaster antimicrobial agent is based on silver ion technology and has three modes of action. When bacteria come into contact with a Biomaster protected surface, the silver ions prevent them from growing, producing energy or replicating, therefore they die.
Unlike some antimicrobial agents, Biomaster is incredibly durable, long lasting and highly active. When added, it is dispersed throughout the entire item and becomes an integral part of the product. Silver is inorganic and non-leaching which means that, unlike organic antimicrobial agents / technologies, it stays within the item to which it is added.

Biodegradable cardholder:  Biodegradable range of holders are made using standard Polypropylene with a Oxo-degradable additive, which once it has been exposed to Sunlight and Oxygen will start to degrade. Once the holder has started to degrade and is no longer usable in normal use, it can be disposed of in general waste. The degrading process continues until micro-organisms have complete eaten away the entire holder and it disintegrates. The Oxo-degradable additive Enables the holder to degrade in 5-10 years of normal use.

Metal detectable cardholders: metal Detectable Holders have a much higher rate of Stainless Steel than other brands, makign them more detectable, as little as a scape can be detected. They have been tested by leading Food processing factories to achieve this.
